Once a year, the Ridnaun Kirchtag takes place in the village centre. A typical folk festival for the whole family: a colourful programme, delicious dishes, traditional music and costumes.
Ridnaun’s Kirchtag begins with the usual parade: dressed in old traditional costumes and equipped with farming instruments of the past, residents parade through the village. There is a lot to see throughout the day: Alpine dairymen and women prepare butter and cheese, hunters show off their trophies, and the two legendary figures, the Tyrolean Giantess and the mythical figure Pfeifer Huisele, make an appearance.
Local chefs will spoil you with the best of South Tyrolean traditional cuisine, and a comprehensive supporting programme with music and entertainment for the children makes the Ridnaun Kirchtag fun for young and old.
